Instructions
Combine rye, simple syrup and water in a large container. Funnel mixture into bottles. Place in freezer overnight.
Chill glasses.
To serve, spray a rocks glass with Herbsaint. Add 5 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters. Pour about 2 1/2 ounces chilled mixture into the glass. Express a lemon peel over the drink and drop in the glass.
Serve immediately.
Rich simple syrup: Dissolve 1 cup sugar in 1/2 cup water.
