Dark Chocolate Hummus

We love this healthy-minded hummus with pretzels as a sweet and salty snack! Keep chilled and serve cold.

Ingredients

  • 1 (15-ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup raw cacao powder 
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk or water
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a food processor and pulse until smooth and creamy. Transfer to a bowl and cover and chill.

Serve with fresh fruit and pretzel thins.

Optional add-ins and garnishes: dark chocolate shavings, coconut, sliced almonds.
