Grenadine

Don’t buy the bottled red corn syrup; make your own grenadine! Pomegranate molasses is found in Middle Eastern groceries, Whole Foods and Amazon.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pomegranate juice, preferably Pom Wonderful
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 ounces pomegranate molasses
  • 1 teaspoon orange blossom water
  • 1 ounce vodka, optional

Instructions

Combine pomegranate juice and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until sugar has dissolved. Do not allow to boil.

Add orange blossom water and pomegranate molasses, stirring till combined.

Allow to cool and transfer to glass bottle with airtight lid. Keep chilled.

Will keep up to one month in the fridge without vodka and two months with it.
