Homemade Cinnamon Whiskey

A smoother, more natural DIY Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey variation that’s just the thing for sipping on a chilly winter night.

Ingredients

  • 1 (750ml) bottle bourbon
  • 1 1/2 cups simple syrup (1:1)
  • Zest of 1 whole orange
  • 8 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 ounce Aperol, optional

Instructions

Combine in a glass container with a lid. Cover and allow to sit for 3 days.

Strain back into whiskey bottles and label.

May be kept chilled, for up to 4 to 6 weeks.
