Lazurus Spritz

Brunch in New Orleans always starts with an eye opener or a “restorative” to lift the spirit following a big night—a mannered, old-fashioned way of saying, you just need another cocktail!

We always feel restored at Sylvain, a hearty brunch hot spot deep in the French Quarter.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 ounce London Dry Gin
  • 1/2 ounce Aperol
  • 1/4 ounce St-Germain elderflower liqueur
  • 2 ounces orange juice
  • Cava to top

Instructions

Combine gin, Aperol, St-Germain and orange juice in a shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into a wine glass or coupe.

Top with Cava.

Garnish with a lemon twist.
