Vieux Carré

The famous namesake cocktail created at The Carousel Bar that pays homage to French Quarter history.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 ounce Pierre Ferrand 1840 Cognac
  • 1/4 ounce Benedictine
  • 1/4 ounce sweet vermouth
  • 3/4 ounce rye whiskey
  • 3 to 4 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 3 to 4 dashes Peychaud's Bitters

Instructions

Build in an ice-filled rocks glass and stir to mix.

Garnish with a fresh lemon twist.
