Whiskey Sour

The egg white in a Whiskey Sour is optional and strictly for foam. Making it your own is part of the fun.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces whiskey
  • 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • 1/2 egg white
  • Peychaud's Bitters for garnish
  • Dirty Sue Whiskey Cherry for garnish

Instructions

Add whiskey, lemon, simple and egg white to a shaker, without ice. Shake hard for about 20 seconds longer than you think you need to.

Open the shaker, add ice. Shake it again. Hard.

Double strain into a coupe glass and garnish with a dash of bitters or a skewered cherry.

Or, garnish with both. It’s your drink.
